Richard is a freelance photographer specialising in worldwide travel reportage.

Richard started traveling at 18, spending a year in Thailand and Australia. Since then he has travelled extensively across South East Asia, China, the Indian subcontinent and South America.

He gained a BA (Hons) First in Photography and Graphic Design at the Norwich School of Art & Design, and recently won Professional Photographer Magazine’s Student Landscape Photographer of the Year. Richard was also a finalist in three categories of this year’s Travel Photographer of the Year competition.

Richard now travels extensively, producing eye-catching imagery for magazines, travel features and brochures. He regularly shoots stock for 4Corners and photo essays for Solomango, and is happy to undertake editorial assignments and commissions.

His latest work comes from a tour of Sri Lanka and a commission to photograph the ancient tanneries of Fes in Morocco, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Visit the Photo Stories section to see more images from these projects.
